Assessment Anta KT 2

Anta has probably caught a lucrative bait with Klay Thompson, a player featured in both the recent NBA Finals and the Olympics. Since the studio signed with Louis Scola and Kevin Garnett, Anta finally had a star young enough to represent. Anta and Klay Thompson’s first collaboration product was of course the Anta KT 1, a very stable and reasonably priced shoe. Anta KT 2 “Make it Rain”

first. Material (Material / design)

Anta almost kept the same frame of KT 1 to make KT 2 with the standard high neck design with the same material from mesh fabric and Fuse. The toe is fully reinforced with Fuse for increased rigidity but still flexibility. The mid-foot and heel are made from a mesh like Hyperdunk 2016. Thanks to removing Fuse in the heel, KT 2 will be more comfortable and flexible in the ankle area. There are also some minor changes, such as the intersection point between the shoelace and the neck of the shoe being cut deeper, and the tape at the reed and the heel to make it easier for the foot to get in.

The appearance of the midsole layer is almost no different from the material completely made of foam. Outsole outsole has some minor changes. Instead of using the omnidirectional sole and emulating the foot shape (Anta’s SuperFlex technology), KT 2 uses a traditional straight herringbone pattern with a distinctive sole of its Control-5 technology.

2. Traction (grip)

With the motif used in KT 2, grip on a clean yard will definitely not be a problem. The vein pattern on the edge is enough to “bite” on the ground and avoid dust. The biggest problem is the herringbone area in the middle where the gaps are a bit small and are not made into tabs like the KT 1. This area is also the most dusty, requiring you to wipe after a few plays. .

The “Make it Rain” version with the insole is probably the best adhesion on the clean yard but also the most dusty on other surfaces.

3. Comfort & Fit (Smoothness, embrace)

Using a standard design from KT 1, KT 2 will almost certainly score high in this regard. Anta’s heat-pressed material is also very supple, not as stiff and stretchy as some old shoes from Nike or adidas. However, you might still get stuck at the intersection between the two layers of the material.

The inside of the Anta KT 2 is also just thick enough to ensure smoothness. As with Peak, Anta usually uses quite thick pads. Since KT 1, Anta has also changed its size system to suit the US market. 4. Cushioning

The biggest upgrade that KT 2 needs is the buffer when KT 1 is a bit drowned in this side. Anta has beefed up buffers with new EVE technology. KT 2 uses midsole from standard foam and two pads with different densities in the nose and heels. The yellow part is firmer and more bouncy, while the black one specializes in shock absorption. This is the design that brands like adidas, Li-ning, K1X are very using. Overall, the KT 2’s footrest won’t be as good as Nike’s Zoom, Adidas’ Boost, or Brandblack’s Jetlon, but the design is extremely stable and suitable for any position.

5. Stability / Support / Containment

By changing from SuperFlex to a more traditional design, KT 2 gives up some flexibility in exchange for stability. The edge of the outrigger sole at the nose also helps to make the shoe more secure.

The large stylized heel block and the leather behind the sole help keep the area around the heel firmly. However, it seems Anta has neglected to put a mid-foot shank in the midsole. In general, KT 2’s support is quite basic but is still a fairly solid shoe due to its stable foundation and solid materials.

Containment is completely dependent on Fuse in the nose as well as the midsole wrapped on the foot. Pretty basic but still better than knit and woven fabrics (wool and woven fabrics).

6. Anta KT 2 – Conclusion:

Still with a fairly basic design but upgraded in terms of materials compared to the first version, the KT 2 is a lightweight shoe, suitable for most positions but a bit weak in terms of support.
