I. Material

Knit is a material aimed at elegance due to its toughness. Although no longer using wool like Ultra Boost, this year’s Crazy Explosive PK is a lot more luxurious thanks to the combination of antique design and thick wool material. In addition, the outer layer is heat-pressed directly for reinforcement instead of the inner nylon. These two details make the feeling of going into the legs of the CE 2017 PK really very good. It must be said that this Primeknit material than an old rival from Nike is Hyperdunk 2016 Flyknit.

The buffer and base are almost the same as compared to last year. Except that adidas designed a piece of plastic placed on the outer edge of the toe to help secure the Boost cushion.

II. Smoothness, Hugging / Fit and Comfort

Evaluate:

  • Right size or up half the size
  • Hug your feet from heel to nose
  • Definitely more than 2016

Fit of the 2017 version is almost identical to 2016, although the frame looks a bit different. Buy your own size or the same size as the old version if you don’t have a chance to try it.

You will also need to get a little more familiar with the shoe if you have never worn a stocking neck. Overall Crazy Explosive 2017 Primeknit comes in quite easily and is extremely comfortable thanks to the thick cushion inside.

Once the strap is tied, the CE feels more comfortable and tighter than 2016. Your feet are hugged evenly and just right, a huge plus for adidas.

In the first two times I still had some pain in my nose or light in the heels if I walked for a long time but then there was no problem.

III. Adhesion

Evaluate:

  • The grip is quite good
  • Still quite easy to wear

The same base offers similar performance. What you get isn’t a very clingy feeling, but a sense of control. You will not see the wheelbarrow but will most likely not slip.

The tested version has an opaque base instead of a clear base, so it is probably a little less dusty. But whatever rubber it is, it is more durable than last year. You can take out the outdoor sparingly but do not overdo it. Try out two outdoor versions of the CE, Crazy Fire and Crazy Explosive TD.

IV. Buffer

Evaluate:

  • Soft, smooth heels
  • Strong nose, slightly bouncing
  • Good damping

To be honest, the Boost ratings are quite tiring because they are so similar. The most noticeable point is the extremely smooth heel section, if I have to vote for the first type of heel cushion, I don’t hesitate to give Boost up to 1,000 votes.

The nose is really hard to say, simply because it doesn’t really stand out from the heels. In the line-up of adidas, Crazy Explosive has almost the thinnest nose so what you get first will be the perfect pitch feeling. I have a feeling it is a bit taller than the old version but really not much. The presence of the plastic on the outer edge also makes the shoe a bit “stiffer” but in return it is somewhat reassuring, especially after you’ve been flipped a few very crazy plays in Crazy Explosive 2016 like me.

To put it in words, the CE 2017 has a very good, soft-absorbing heel cushion, while the nose is stiffer and is inclined to be more stable than bouncing or sensitive.

IV. Robustness

Evaluate:

  • The heels are extremely tight and firm
  • Wide base for anti-roll
  • Rugged Forge Knit Material

With excellent grip and minor enhancements like Forged knit (heat-pressed wool) and stronger Boost cushioning, Crazy Explosive 2017 has come up with a more big man shoe. To stay wider but flatter, add a reinforced nose.

The nose is less curved so it feels more difficult to turn

Don’t forget that the shoe is surrounded by a flexible plastic layer, ensuring its strength and making the shoe not too stiff.

V. Conclusion

Pros:

  • Fit is hugging but not really suitable for legs
  • Definitely much more than the old version
  • Sticking soles
  • Boost cushion is smooth but still stable

Cons:

Suitable for all positions

Before really experiencing the Crazy Explosive 2017 Primeknit, I was not impressed by this new antique design. But no one judged the book on the cover, it’s a really impressive shoe, unfortunately adidas skipped an opportunity to improve the Boost cushion and so on. Although the adidas designer noticed that these two sides of the original Crazy Explosive are very popular, but if the Boost is a bit thicker, the sole emulating a little more foot will be better.

A shoe for big men yet relatively light weight, the Crazy Explosive 2017 PK is for players who are agile, resilient and don’t need too much cushioning. Rose 8, Crazylight Boost 2016 is probably a more affordable option if you want a quieter buffer experience.

Currently, Kicks Geeks is available with many Crazy explosive color schemes for a price of only 2,500,000 VND.
