The brand was founded in 2015 in LA, USA by Eric Nguyen and after 2 years of operation, DVRK’s team has been expanded to 10 people with enthusiasm and passion that is second to none. With their goal of changing the perspective of the World to Vietnamese fashion in general and streetwear in particular, all 10 people have worked very hard with a burning passion to develop brands in accordance with originally set out trajectory.

In 2018, DVRK has set many great goals and they are in the completion stage. And today, let’s go EACHSHOES Join in an interview with DVRK to see what their plans are for 2018!

What is the most important goal of DVRK right now?

Well, we have quite a few brand goals, but what DVRK is focusing on the most right now is improving the quality of our products, like this Spring 2018 Collection, some of our products. products are made in America.

Using printing technologies and the most advanced fabrics, we have to invest twice as much as in other products. And DVRK will also gradually switch to production in Europe / North America as the brand grows steadily. For us, the material of each product is always the top target right now because a quality item is not only in appearance, but also has to be durable.

What is DVRK’s plan for Spring 2018?

We will quickly release Spring 2018 fashion, and this is what we have been focusing on for the last 3 months of 2017. This drama will talk about the difficult post-parting period of a girl. And that is also the theme of DVRK for Spring 2018. The first capsule was just released on January 1, and there will be two more capsules coming in Spring 2018.

Where did Spring 2018 collection come from? Why does DVRK choose the love theme when there are many more unique themes out there?

“Be fun, be free, be faithful” is the design inspiration of the DVRK team this time. With an idea based on a true story, director Linnea Nam Backstrom came to us to start preparing for this Spring 2018 collection.

This story says that we should love someone happily, freely and faithfully no matter what. You should live for your lover and yourself.

Spring 2018 collection is divided into 3 parts:

  • “I See It Coming” is when the girl knows her lover is cheating on her.
  • “Smoking Kill” is about her emotional post-parting time
  • “Fear One God, Love One Girl” is the main and final part of the collection when it comes to you should be loyal to 1 and only 1 girl.

Up until now, which collection of collection is DVRK most interested in?

Honestly, up to now, there hasn’t been any BSt that DVRK loves the most because through each collection, we realize that we can do better. DVRK hopes to bring out more outstanding and quality collections in 2018 than in 2017.

Can you share with EACHSHOES a little bit about the most important plan of 2018 of DVRK?

The world has never recognized our country as a contemporary country, but we are working hard to change that stereotype. Currently, we are trying to open a store in LA around the end of 2018 and shake hands with other brands and artists to create even more unique collections.

Last year, DVRK’s team traveled together to 11 countries to create stunning photo shoots as well as meet artists and producers in those countries. And we hope that the DVRK team will set foot in more places in 2018 and spread the brand to many countries around the world.

With what DVRK has been, is and will be doing, we can expect a bright future for the streetwear market of Vietnam, right? Hopefully in 2018 and the years to come, DVRK will be a guideline to bring the streetwear market of Vietnam to the world by its meaningful and quality BSTs.
