Nike Lebron XV – The return of the king

After three consecutive versions that “shaped” a distinct style of Lebron shoes with hexagonal Zoom buffer, Jason Petrie made a leap forward by combining Hex Zoom with Zoom Max from KD9. The following are the most detailed reviews possible of the Lebron 15 version for EACHSHOES readers.

“Bad”, “Di”, “Not majestic” are the first reactions of everyone when seeing Lebron XV. Meanwhile, many people still feel this new design is quite pitiful and like the dragons in the Game of Throne. The most obvious “culprit” is the class Flyknit Battle just create a feeling quite like dragon scales.

Almost identical to the Forge Knit of adidas, scaly section Lebron 15 Toughened to reinforce key positions such as nose, body sides as well as heels. Another point is that Battle knit (or Flyknit Battle) doesn’t seem to be heat-pressed, something that worries EACHSHOES about its ruggedness. Is it possible that Nike will put a layer of nylon underneath?

With a high-necked body design like Lebron XIV, this will probably be the standard for later Lebron couples. This 100% wool design also feels a bit “drowned” instead of the previous solid style of the line. Other small details like the heel tab and the reed made from leather contribute to bringing a little elegance to the shoe. Finally, the Nike logo is very well hidden on the rather compact heel block.

Finally, there’s a new 3-zone Zoom buffer instead of the regular hexagonal Zoom bag. All three Zoom pockets are interconnected and work similarly to the Nike KD 9, KD 10. One point you may notice is that there is less “Zoom” under the heel (the warp section) and is wrapped in columns that Only found in Air Max buffers. Like Nike said: this is a hybrid of Zoom Air and Max Air. Details will be analyzed in the buffer section below.

Similar to the way designers like to do, the texture above the knit part is also plunged down to the texture. The result is a very jagged base with a very large contact surface.

This new Flyknit class is touted to provide the required toughness (mostly around the reed and the upper toe area) as well as the ability to hold the legs tight. With all the experience with Nike’s body design this is completely reliable, but keep in mind that this is a Lebron shoe so it will be a bit wider than usual.

Thick laces are used to provide better “grip”, avoid slipping as well as reduce pressure on the foot. The Flywire system is quite basic and runs along the sides of the feet, hopefully Nike will design it so it doesn’t touch the foot.

The impression is the first word that hits the head when seeing Lebron XV’s clue. With a line of shoes specializing in “art” like Lebron, top-ranked clingy soles rarely appear. The closest version has quite a good grip is the Lebron 13 but partly due to less creativity then.

Nike Lebron XV 15 sole

Instead of flakes, the pattern on the rubber sole is more diamond shaped. The base is divided into several sections including 3 separate “bars”. This sole promises to bring very good friction but will probably be difficult to withstand the cement yard. One more thing, EACHSHOES would like to acknowledge that this soles bring less wear in the outdoor yard a few days will have better grip than the original due to this pattern gradually tapered up.

Nike has always been the one to impress their buffers, from full-length Zoom (Lebron 5), 2-layer Zoom (Lebron 6), Air Max 360 (Lebron 7), Air Max 180 (Lebron 9), Zoom Max 360 (Lebron 10), Hex Zoom (Lebron 12) and most recently Zoom Max are articulated on KD 9. Instead of cement buffering of KD 9, 10 through Lebron we have a system The system can be said to be a combination of the Air 180 from Lebron 9, Hex Zoom from Lebron 14 and Zoom of KD 9.

This new buffer consists of three main parts: the nose is a standard Zoom cushion with a minimum thickness of 11mm (most regular Zoom bags are about 8mm thick), a smaller pad sits under the soles of the feet, and a unit. Zoom with Air Max combined at heels. This design ensures a smooth and bouncing nose, not “needy” under the soles of the feet and the heel remains firm but still feels of Zoom. In fact, please wait until at least 1 month to get more information from the experts. Along with Jordan XXXII, Lebron XV is the most desirable padded shoe this season.

Zoom Max Lebron XV 15

The biggest question is whether Battle Flyknit has enough bucks? Of course, if Lebron James was willing to state that this was his favorite shoe, it would probably be enough to withstand his 205cm, 113kg configuration. Nike has high expectations of this Flyknit material as the heel block is made very small.

Next is the Zoom (Air) Max buffer. The nose will not be a problem as this is still a pretty “standard” Zoom bag for Nike’s high-end lines. As for the heel, Nike had to add Phylon to the middle of the Air Max tubes. This is an inherent feature in Lebron 8 that makes the Air work more smoothly with the Phylon pad above and make the heel cushion more stable. Most shoes with Super Large Zoom in heels like the Lebron 7 PS or 14 are quite precarious and this is how Nike solves this problem.

Other details such as the soles pads, midsole covering the feet seem to be made well. A few points that are not very satisfactory are that the base is somewhat not wide and flat and lacks the presence of the edge of the base, which is understandable because Lebron XV used Zoom out, not hidden inside.

With a price tag of $ 185, Lebron XV continues to be in the ranks of the high-end shoes of the year as usual. Unless you are a tough fan, please wait patiently until the discount is available to pick up her “sister”. Like the Air Jordan XXXII, most aspects of the Lebron XV are superior to that of its predecessor.

The first version to be released will be called “Ashes”, will Lebron 15 “Tro Tan” be able to heat up the market after other hot shoe models such as Crazy Explosive 2017, Jordan 32 are released? Let’s wait and see and read the latest news about basketball shoes at EACHSHOES.
