One Piece reunites PUMA in LQD Cell with the Straw Hat pirate flag

After merging a few months ago on the release of the latest episode of One Piece – One Piece Stampede series, PUMA and the manga reunited in a new shoe version – LQD CELL. The attraction of One Piece spreading everywhere is definitely not something to argue with. Just looking at the sales in the Japanese market will startled you. In the first 9 days of selling tickets, One Piece earned 3.05 billion yen (about 28.7 million dollars). Of course it became the movie released by Toei that reached the fastest 3 billion yen mark since 2000. With such a strong appeal, it is also extremely understandable that fashion brands cooperate with One Piece.

PUMA LQD CELL does not use any specific characters from the One Piece series, but is inspired by the “Straw Hat” pirate flag. The image of a skull with a characteristic straw hat on his head was drawn by Luffy himself during the first days of entering the Great Ocean. This image is meant to mark a new turning point in the adventure of Luffy with his teammates, while putting this guy’s name mark on the pirate world map. The Straw Hat Pirates are brand names and formidable too!

The most special feature of this pair of LQD CELL is to exploit the “evil – evil” aspect of this series. The white uppers you see below represent good things. When the flash is illuminated, parts equipped with 3M reflectors will float, displaying an “evil” image on the shoe. Did you like this version of PUMA? At a price of 150 USD, I think One Piece fans will be competing to buy a lot. However, if I were selected, I would still prefer the BST collab between One Piece and Skechers rather than PUMA’s. The color schemes and chunky designs of the D’Lites line of shoes are more impressive than the CELL.
