It took an entire season of NBA shoes, Jordan was dedicated to Russell Westbrook – King Tripple Double, who most deserves the MVP title of the season with a sneaker version. As the athlete representing Jordan Brand since 2015, possessing a very good record this season with 38 tripple doubles and a symbol of the strength of OKC Thunder, Westbrook clearly deserves more than that.

Returning to AJ XXXI “Why Not?”, This is a hybrid version between 30s and 31s. The upper body of the shoe owns the entire design and technology of the Air Jordan 31 with Flyweave material combined with leather, swoosh accents and Jumpman logo near the heel. However, the sole comes from the Air Jordan 30 version, from the technology used to the exterior design. Westbrook doesn’t seem really comfortable with the Flightplate layout on top of Jordan’s latest performance shoe.

To accentuate this special edition, the synthetic leather is printed with Elephant Print patterns commonly found on Retro versions, combined with orange and blue details (the main color of OKC), logo Westbrook on the reed and the words “Why Not” on the sole of each shoe.

Air Jordan XXXI “Why Not?” will be officially released on April 29, ahead of the Playoffs as a gift for OKC’s striker.
