Detailed Review adidas Harden Vol. 2

It took Harden four years as a team carry for Harden to get his signature shoes, but this was mostly planned before adidas launched a $ 200 million contract in 2015. After the Vol. 1 achieved a certain success thanks to the “weird” design with high quality materials, adidas continued to launch Vol. 2 is not inferior.

I. Design, Material

Harden 2 still carries the typical details of Harden 1 such as the removable nose, the characteristic nebula and the very innovative features of Harden. Harden 2’s shoe body includes a very thin inner bootie, including heel padding and mesh fabric on the reed. Wrapped around the nose is a thin layer of fabric that is braided / strengthened further by horizontal and vertical threads. This nose section ends with an elastic bandage separating the outer layer from the bootie. Connecting from this bandage to the back of the heel is a sturdy synthetic leather, somewhat like a bizarre design from Dame 3.

The midsole feels like a canoe as it is much wider than the upper and spans the sides about 0.5 cm. Do not forget this “canoe” is entirely made from Boost with a flexible rubber layer wrapped on the outer edge for added safety. The outsole covering the heels is extremely oversized, almost replacing the task of heel cup. Finally, the base layer is almost identical to the Harden 1, with the indentations that are not the same, and the adidas has to use the load sensing technology to create the pattern that best suits the Harden (all cuts).

Evaluate:

  • Right size, maybe up half (someone has to down half the size)
  • Nose slightly soft, slightly narrow on both sides of toes
  • Bootie design embraces version 1
  • Loose ankles, lace pressure

* Update: After trying a few more times, the true size Harden 2 is still the best place to go, I also don’t have problems with tying. However, wearing thick socks can be a bit painful.

Although I have only been to Harden 1 exactly twice, but I really do not like it because the neck is rough and it is difficult to hug the ankles. The bootie design this time is thinner, but making it easier to choose the size and go in also embraces the legs. The only downside is that the cushion on the ankle is a bit thin, so there is a little sense of insecurity.

Harden’s nose is 2 pieces but quite snugly. But going up midfoot and heel, we encounter the problem of “where is the strap of the piercing” of Dame 3. The plus point is that by default, Harden 2 is still holding heels, but not really “lockdown”. You will feel a little bit slipping, but do not affect as Crazylight Boost 2016. The minus point is that this confusing design plus the little padding on the tongue makes me quite a leg pain if trying to tighten the rope tightly. The default is 5 piercing but long enough for 6 holes, if you tie it tightly there will be at least 3/5 pieces of wire in the same place creating great pressure on the instep.

If the situation is too painful, you can tie it up, tie it up, or change into thicker socks. I don’t always have this problem, but each adjustment takes time.

Another point worth mentioning is that those of you who are too familiar with the firm foot hug design will probably be slightly slouched with Harden 2. The thin nose feels a bit like running shoes that will make some people feel unsafe. .

In summary, Harden 2 is very good at holding his legs, much better than Harden 1 in his personal opinion, but the thin upper has its own problems. It is not difficult to find the right way to tie the rope, but each person will need different solutions. Sizing is still a confusing thing because most people I meet are on the right size or in half. But there are still people who have to down half the size because it is too long, another example is the Youtuber Jahronmon.

III. Adhesion

Evaluate:

  • Pole clinging in clean yard
  • Need to wipe when dust
  • Durability is quite average

Harden 1 always had some stability issues when using the insole, when the insole was chiseled. Even the inner bases have better grip, making it difficult to make a final decision. At least, the grip of Harden 1 is always quite or better, durability is also quite average depending on the player.

In Harden 2, all color schemes are used with opaque rubber soles with quite clingy rubber (size 70-80% of Howard 3, KT 2) .Test at popular indoor courts in Hanoi have not found there. What’s the problem. You can completely rest assured to brake, change direction or “pick up” the enemy at will. There is an opinion that Harden 2, when not break-in, is easy to dust, so you can bring a good outdoor field to try the day before you go to the competition.

The durability of Harden 2 is not a bovine grade, but at least acceptable. I tried a lot of sessions at PKKQ, Times City (all rough and worn-out courts) and only a few times in Y (cement yard, quite bad for shoes), as a result, outside one corner of the heel is worn out. , left the nose is still well tolerated. At least Harden 2 will be more durable than Dame 4. You can comfortably plow until you see the plastic pad under the base to stick the sole.

IV. Buffer / Cushioning

Evaluate:

  • The nose is thin, smooth, and the sensitivity is quite
  • The heels are very thick, extremely smooth
  • “Specialized” dampers
  • Smooth transition

With its extreme appearance, the actual Boost amount under your toes is only about 2/3 of what you see. This looks a bit like a trick but is still a few millimeters thicker than the Harden. In return, the heels are really thick, at least 2.5 cm in size 9US.

The real Boost is located around the groove on the plastic pad

With such a thick Boost, Harden 2 offers an extremely stable and smooth experience. Still not as soft as Ultra Boost, the nose provides a decent level of jump that helps you feel the pitch, quick navigation. The extremely thick heel section also fulfills the task of protecting and absorbing the shock.

If Crazy Explosive 2017 feels a bit more speedy Boost, then Harden 2 is stable, for sure. I always feel extremely secure when I step into this Boost class.

V. Support

Evaluate:

  • Ultra-wide sole
  • The material around the heel is very solid
  • The nose is a bit thin
  • The cushion around the ankle is still a little bit

Harden 2’s big “Department” Boost and the wide outsole definitely bring a sense of solidity to each step. Plus three layers of heels (one in inner bootie, one leather, one rubber layer from the outsole) ensure the heel is balanced.

The “scratching” less the Boost in the top makes your feet firmly in the shoe, minimizing the slip off the sole when changing direction. If there was a little more cushion around the heels, it would be best, but in general we haven’t had any problems.

The fragile fabric in the nose is still a feeling of insecurity for some people, not really bringing problems to the writer.

Harden 2

Don’t forget the huge plastic pad located under the heels, midfoot and around the toes.
