Nike KD 8 review

I. Design, Material

Evaluate:

• Upper Woven is very soft
• Upper material is not durable

The upper material was renamed Flyweave, but it’s basically woven, made from Jordan 29. This material is really great, very soft and comfortable. You essentially will have to pay up to $ 225 if you want to experience woven Jordan, but with Nike KD 8, you only need to spend $ 180 to own this very stable material. The material also appears to fit well with the shoe’s Full Length Zoom Air cushioning.

However, woven material has one weakness: they are not durable. If you are a player who is concerned with the durability of a shoe, it is better to try to avoid using soft materials.

II. Hugging / Fit & Comfort

Evaluate:

• Up half the size
• Good foot hug

Due to the soft material, KD 8 does not need time to break in. When choosing shoes, the true size seemed a bit tight for me so I was half the size. The reason seems to stem from Kevin Durant’s unusual foot shape, his legs a bit long. So the best you try before you buy to choose the best size possible. Due to the soft material, the KD 8 takes almost no time to break in. Lockdown is fine too. Flywear (Woven) that was born to increase leg hugging also completed the task well.

The solid and unique heel part works well, locking the entire shoe to your feet.

III. Adhesion

Evaluate:

• The soles stick with the clean yard
• Unstable

Herringbone. Herringbone base, classic design features a very grip to the floor. They work really well when I play on the indoor patio. However, with dirty surfaces, you may need some manual cleaning of the shoes.

Famous for its outdoor ability, perhaps it’s hard to ignore the KD Trey shoe line, but Durant’s main shoe line is characterized by the insole surface is not durable. They are so soft, if you wear KD 8 outdoor, maybe a week is enough time to wash the soles of your shoes.

IV. Buffer / Cushioning

Evaluate:

• Full length Zoom Air (which spans all shoes) is bouncing and stable
• Especially smooth in the nose

The full length Zoom Air buffer is quite quiet, bouncing, with very good support, especially for the zoom range at the toe. For familiar fans of the KD 9 10 or LeBron 15 16, there is probably not much need to discuss their satisfaction with this full length Zoom buffer. Meanwhile, KD 8 is also exceptionally quiet on the toes, suitable for ballers who use toes to accelerate or land.

V. Support

Evaluate:

• Depends on whether you have a standard size and suits you or not

Basketball shoe support usually starts with a Fit. Take an example from Nike LeBron Soldier 9 Review – one of the best fit shoes, lockdown ability has reached the perfect level. KD series shoes are very special, the KD foot construction is very long, so as long as you choose the right size and suit you, the shoes will give you excellent support. Stable buffer, good grip makes your movements more secure. If any of these instabilities do occur, chances are they have come from exposed parts of Zoom Air. However, thanks to the protection of the Phylon outer layer and the triangular plastic pieces, Zoom bags are harder to puncture than pairs like the KD 9 or KD 10.

Personally, I don’t have feelings for the KD 8’s heel design, they stick out a bit far back and are easy to get behind people to step on.
