Any shoe enthusiast can not help but know the name of the Onitsuka Tiger brand. One of the oldest shoe brands in Japan and a precursor to the ASICS Group was born on September 1, 1949. With Onitsuka Tiger being a part of the Asics group, everyone who learns and loves this shoe field knows that both side logos are the same. However, very few people know that Onitsuka Tiger was once a shoe supplier for Phillip Knight – the then Nike boss – a shipment of 200 pairs in December 1963.
