Self-sufficient UK travel experience 2020 “cheap” to play freely

Not choosing luxurious and bustling tourist destinations, Alexis Phan’s family decided to roam together on rustic and poetic streets in Switzerland.

Passionate about travel, every year, Alexis Phan (now living in Switzerland) and her husband "carry a
backpack" on the road.In the past, when there were no children, young couples often traveled by car for a long time.
They go camping or stop anywhere to sleep in the car... Ms. Alexis Phan and her husband often travel between Switzerland and Vietnam to avoid crowds.
Switzerland Trip
In the past, when there were no children, Alexis Phan and his wife went for a long time in the car, traveling to many lands in Switzerland.
The young couple's passion for travel is often "in the blood"! Every time the two of them are in the mood, they go on the road, so they usually don't have a plan in advance.
However, during the last trip to discover Switzerland, the couple had a clear plan in advance. Because according to the young mother, if traveling here on rainy days, it is a pity because people will not be able to see all the beauty of Swiss lake water.
Ms. Alexis Phan said: "This time, my wife and I had an appointment with a friend, so we had to check the weather and research a specific visit schedule. Because we didn't go for a long time, the whole family carried luggage very simply.
I chose some nice clothes for myself and my son.My husband likes to wear simple and comfortable clothes so I let him choose according to his preferences.
I have prepared 1-2 more warm clothes for the baby.Because I am afraid of time. The weather changes, and it will often be cold at night, your baby will get sick.
Milk and diapers must also be brought, and unfortunately if you lack anything, you can easily visit Migro or Coop supermarkets to buy, supermarkets This is always available everywhere in Switzerland.
In addition, I also bring my favorite pillow."
Alexis Phan's family visits the Swiss countryside by personal vehicle.
Because this brings comfort to the whole family during the journey.
The road in Switzerland has many small roads like one-way roads in Vietnam, but two-way traffic is still unobstructed.
People can take the highway, but if you want to fully see the Swiss lakes, you should travel by private vehicle.
That way people can stop at any lake for a quick lunch or have a nice day BBQ and enjoy swimming in the lake together.

When she had a small child, her family’s trip was a little different.

3 rustic tourist destinations in Switzerland for small families

Here is Alexis Phan's share about her 3 favorite spots during her trip in Switzerland:

1. Grindelwald

Grindelwald is a beautiful village tucked away at the head of the Lütschen valley beneath the towering Wetterhorn.
This mysterious fairy-tale village is the ideal destination for visitors to enjoy the Swiss countryside beauty.
Coming here, people enjoy experiencing the First Cliff Walk bridge - This is a bridge with a length of 800m hugging the top of the mountain, a place not to be missed.
Large space, overlapping mountains, turquoise lake are interesting points in Swiss lakes.

2. Lungern in Switzerland

The mountain town of Lungern, Switzerland is known as a picturesque paradise - a perfect destination for nature lovers.
For me, the best time for visitors to experience this place is in the summer from July to August, with the temperature at this time warm and hot, it will be a great opportunity for you to experience swimming in the lake. this.
You can also come here in the fall, which is also very beautiful, but it's too cold to take a bath.
The Swiss people love to swim, and in summer the campsites by the lake are often crowded. You can also see them swimming in any lake on their summer drive stop. If you are not a good swimmer, remember to prepare yourself an extra life jacket to experience.
But make sure to be safe for yourself, finding a gentle place to soak in is also great.

3. Lake Brienz

Lake Brienz is a lake in the mountains, located between the mountains and forests.
The water surface is always blue when the sky is sunny, all will appear in front of your eyes a peaceful and poetic village!

Coming to Brienz, you should not miss the steam train Brienz-Rothorn. This is known as one of the steepest train routes in the world.
Departing from Brienz station, after only 7.2km, the train reaches 2244 meters at the top of Rothorn, promising to bring visitors a unique experience.
You can see more than 693 mountains from the top of Rothorn".
Here, the whole family is immersed in nature, children enjoy playing.

Points to note when traveling to Switzerland with young children

"Our meals are varied and spontaneous, but often simple.
Sometimes we go to the supermarket to buy barbecue and light a lakeside oven, take a bath and swim together, and sometimes we eat.
right at the motel or hotel, or also have a meal at the supermarket to buy familiar favorite foods to eat, and sometimes simply bread, cheese and fruit.
I like to eat Western food, I still don't forget to bring milk which is my son's favorite food.
My child is at the stage of being curious about the worldview and learning quite quickly, so trips like this will be a great lesson and experience for him.
Just looking at her happy eyes, I know how happy she is. I talked and asked him many things, and he was very patient to explain.
The trip was really satisfying and happy for me. Hopefully, this trip will mark a happy new year for the family," said Ms. Alexis Phan.
