Under Armor is growing extremely strongly in the US market today, this brand holds a shining star in the world, Stephen Curry.
Under Armor’s strong growth was demonstrated by the end of 2014 that this brand has surpassed adidas to become the second largest sportswear brand in the US today. As of August 2014, Under Armor has been achieved sales of 1.2 billion dollars surpass adidas with 1.1 billion dollars sales in the North American market.
Under Armor has achieved more than expected sales growth of more than 20% while adidas has slumped 23%, and Under Armor today is second only to Nike with 46% market share in North America. in the sports footwear segment and 33% in the sportswear segment (apparels).
And with the ambition to become one of the strong brands, Under Armor has expanded to the Asian market, specifically in Vietnam this September opened a convenience store at Parkson Hung Vuong.

We reached out and were happy to have support from Under Armor at the store. To go through a few strong points that we can recognize are:
1. The style is extremely youthful and pure in sportswear.
2. Staff are very friendly as well as enthusiastic about customer arrival.
The shop manager is very cute (y)
3. Nice store decoration and very comfortable outfits.
4. The price is quite competitive compared to Nike, adidas,… brands.
However, there are some points that Under Armor Vietnam may need to improve in the near future to be able to win the hearts of Vietnamese customers as follows:
1. The size of the store is quite small, leading to limited display of products.
2. The products are very sporty and pure for sports, so it will be difficult to apply to casual wear.
Training shoes and accessories are quite complete such as hats, backpacks, socks (socks), bar wristbands, head wears
3. The product is not really diverse for easy selection and especially the Under Armor Curry 1 High pair is not currently available at the store. Young people wishing to own UA Curry and their star idol will be a bit disappointed. Hopefully, the signature shoes of MVP NBA star last season will appear soon.
In summary, the appearance of Under Armor proves that the Vietnamese market is very potential and the competition for market share in the sportswear and sneakers segment will be really exciting in 2016.
Surely, consumers will have more options in the near future.
